Privacy Policy
This is my personal blog. I try to respect your privacy, and I don't collect much data.
Analytics
I use a self-hosted Plausible instance to count visits.
It records the page URL, referrer, country, device type and browser. Standard stuff, nothing that identifies you. No cookies, cross-site tracking or profiling.
Hosting
This website is hosted on Netlify, which keeps short-term logs of it's own. I don't read these unless something goes wrong.
Plausible is hosted on Digital Ocean in Sydney, Australia and presumably they can access the data under certain circumstances.
Contact form
If you submit the contact form, I collect what you send: your name, email address and message. I use those only to reply to you.
Submissions are processed and stored by Netlify Forms and forwarded to my Gmail inbox. I delete old submissions out of Netlify periodically, the email gets archived or deleted after our conversation.
I won't share your details with any third parties (other than Netlify and Gmail) unless - in some strange turn of events - I'm required to by law.
While you're typing, the form keeps a draft in your browser's session storage so a refresh doesn't wipe your message. That draft never leaves your browser (I don't see it) and is lost when you close the tab.
